As Fashion Month comes to a close in Paris this week, we’re taking a look at some of the hottest trends from the new Spring/Summer 2022 collections. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, traditional fashion shows have been put on pause. And after months of awaited anticipation - this year’s momentous occasion did not disappoint.
From runway looks, to celeb sightings, to street-style-standouts, we’re giving you the inside scoop on the hottest trends of SS22. And, we can confirm one thing for sure - the Devil does indeed wear Prada (the Monolith Boots to be exact).
Other notable street style trends included lots of long coats, high boots, matching skirt sets, and funky patterns. But on the runway, one style stood out to us in particular: sheer looks.

Sheer Runway Looks
Fendi
Fendi’s September Fashion Show in Milan kick started this season’s sheer movement for SS22, turning heads with colorful patterned dresses and boss-energy pantsuits over cheeky mesh bralettes. Artistic Director Kim Jones was inspired by 70’s disco glamour creating these fun, empowering, and playfully liberating looks. "Our woman has let loose a bit — she’s going out, dressing up. We’ve all been locked away for so long that I think that’s what we all need right now," said Jones.
And, we couldn’t agree with him more!
Givenchy
The Givenchy SS22 Collection was nothing short of spectacular. Creative Director Matthew M. Williams balances femininity, sophistication, and edginess in this dreamy and transparent line. Extravagant as always, Givenchy gave us ruffles, rhinestones, and rebellious raw edges.
Oh, and we’re still drooling over that magical lavender masterpiece.
Celeb Sheer Moments
Equally as unforgettable as those fabulous runway looks were the show stopping celebrity outfits sitting front row. From musical artists, to actresses, to professional athletes, Paris Fashion Week is always lined with A-listers donning designer pieces just as stylish as the models on the runway.
This year was nothing short of star-studded in the City of Lights, and as I’m sure you’ve already guessed… Many of them were dressed in fabulous sheer looks.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé stole the show at Saint Laurent which took place at the Eiffel Tower. Rosé is 1 of 4 members in the sensational K-pop girl group BLACKPINK. Her other bandmates were also seen in attendance during Paris Fashion Week, at Dior, Chanel, and Miu Miu. Rosé stunned in this sheer black chiffon mini dress with chic knee-high leather boots. Rosé is a Saint Laurent global ambassador and also recently wowed fans in another LBD at the Met Gala.
Actress Demi Moore made headlines at the Stella McCartney show sporting a plunging jumpsuit with mesh paneling. Moore is no stranger to Paris Fashion Week, as she even walked in the Fendi Fashion show last winter.
